Flow Ingest
EditShare Flow Ingest is a quantum leap ahead of its peers in recording capabilities. Triggered manually or scheduled in advance, Flow Ingest captures up to four channels of media and associated metadata; storing each channel in up to three formats simultaneously and outputting a proxy for fast retrieval. No background transcoding is required; files are available immediately for editing – even while recording is in progress. Adding to the power of Flow Ingest is the unique EditShare Universal Media File adds a new dimension to shared workflow situations, allowing ingested media to be shared and used by editors working on both Avid and Apple editing applications. There is no need to tie up valuable edit bays to ingest materials. Editing can begin while ingest is in progress.

Flow Browse
Flow Browse completes the media organization process by simplifying media cataloging and accelerating the search and retrieval of material within the EditShare shared storage environments. Users can quickly locate media among hundreds of thousands of clips on the EditShare media spaces. Flow Browse provides advanced functionality for assembling and annotating media outside the non-linear editing application. From Flow Browse, users can update metadata, log clips, can drag and drop media to Avid and FCP bins before the user begins editing. Flexible metadata fields make cataloging media much more effective resulting in faster and more efficient media search and retrieval. More advanced media management features allow users to set in and out points, include comments using timeline markers and create subclips right from the Flow interface.
