EditShare Flow
EditShare Flow Core Features:
Flow runs on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux providing more workstation options than standard Ingest/Browse solutions.
Flow can be controlled from any workstation on the network. No hardware necessary, any workstation can access and control Flow. Ingest can be initiated manually or set to a schedule.
Supports Avid MXF formats including DNxHD. Multiple editors can ingest Avid formats without needing expensive Avid hardware.
Supports Apple Final Cut Pro QuickTime formats. Multiple editors can ingest Apple FCP formats without needing local hardware.
Flow has seamless integration with EditShare Storage Series, EditShare XStream Series and EditShare Ark. The minimal learning curve and compatible architecture makes Flow an easy addition to any facility.
EditShare Flow Ingest and Browse Features:
One location for all video input means no tying up an editing station.
Flow allows up to four channels of video to be captured from HD-SDI, SD-SDI or FireWire.
Eliminate multiple hardware capture devices by using Flow to capture from decks, camera, satellite feeds all at once.
The input from each of the channels can be saved in up to three formats simultaneously.
Each input could be saved to different codecs including a low-rez proxy in one pass, saving time and avoiding multiple passes or background transcoding.
Save a one channel ingest as both an Avid file and an FCP file. Media is ingested once and available to everyone regardless of editing application or platform.
Log media files as they are being captured. Time saved by logging while ingest occurs and the process doesn’t have to stop.
Begin editing the file while it is still being captured. Users don’t have to wait till the end of the feed or tape.
Flow Browse lets you easily see all the material stored on your central storage. Management of media is vastly simplified and saves time when you can see any project regardless of format.
Flow displays clip metadata and includes adjustable fields such as keywords for optimizing searches.
Users can set in and out points, create clips outside the editing application. They can also break long clips into smaller clips.
Scrub through a timeline and add markers with comments and colors providing editors a guide to use within an edit.
Drag and drop media directly into Avid and FCP projects and bins. Users can now search or browse for their media, then drag the clips straight into their NLE bin... no more importing! Bin is ready when you get to the edit station.
EditShare Flow Security and Administration Features:
Administrator decides which users have access to which channel, and also which inputs and codecs are allowed providing full control over access and use of the Flow Ingest server. The global setting provides consistency for a proxy format and stops users from creating their own individual and incompatible formats.
